Man…. I am not very good at keeping this thing updated! Well as most of you know, Adam and I finally tied the knot!!! Lol its only been lets see….. 3 months J phew…. I am really REALLY bad. Our Wedding was absolutely Amazing! It was PERFECT! Except for the fact that I’m a dork and put Adams ring on the wrong hand! Other then that memorable opps… it went perfect! We left the reception in a limo! It was awesome! We were able to get a King Suite at the Little America for the night (thanks to our Co-workers!) and that was amazing as well J
Well after our Wedding we didn’t get much of a chance to go on a Honeymoon because we moved in to our house the following Wednesday! Thanks to Adams boss we were able to get away for a couple of days to a Condo that him and his wife had rented up in Eden called Moose Hollow! It was the coolest, nice place ever! It was so nice to just go up there and not do anything and just relax and watch TV and movies!
After our “honeymoon” we drove back down to Salt Lake Tuesday night because we had to sign the very last papers for our House! Once we signed those were spent one last night at my apartment to walk up bright and early the next to start loading things into the Uhal!! We had the biggest Uhal they had and we filled it full! Ok, I should say that I filled it full of my stuff! I should have taken a picture but I totally forgot! Oh well J Well we had everything moved in by Wednesday but me being the Girl that I am, I wanted to paint before we put anything away or set anything up. We spent the next 3 or 4 days painting the WHOLE house. We painted the Kitchen, Front Room, Hall Way, Spare bedroom, Bathroom and the Master Bedroom! The only thing that we didn’t paint was the downstairs living room. We lived out of a suitcase in our own house for a think a week! It was the best bonding experience a newly wed couple could have! ;) It was actually a lot of fun and we had A LOT of help. Adam even admits that he is glad that we painted!
Well after painting the whole house, buying some new couches and a new TV (which is Adams favorite thing in the whole house) We were finally starting to make our “house” a Home. I got the bathroom decorated and I’ve start to put things away. Well while Adam was sitting down in the basement playing his Xbox on his New TV he decided that since the whole house was amazing we needed to paint the downstairs. Mind you, the downstairs had a wood paneled wall and was just plan white. Well we decided that we didn’t like that wall anymore so we started to take it down. Little did we know that it was a MUCH bigger project then we thought. I think that the owners before us must of finished the basement because the wood panels were nailed BEHIND the base boards and the carpet was after the base boards. So to get to the wood paneling we had to take the base boards off. Well it wouldn’t have been that big of a deal because we could just go to Lowes and find the same Baseboards, but guess what? They didn’t have it! So we had to take all the base boards and the wood around all the doors off and replace all of them so that they would match! Phew. After that fun adventure we finally got that done! And we LOVE it.
That seems to be all that has happened in the last 3 months! It has been a lot but SO much fun and a nice challenge for newly weds. here are some pictures of the house as we are painting it. I don't have things decorate yet to show you the finish work but I'm getting there slowly. And once I have it all finished I will post pictures! I will try and keep this update more also! Wish me luck!
